CAQ Panel at The 2019 AAA Annual Meeting: Sustaining a Strong System of Quality Control to Enhance Audit Quality

CAQ Executive Director Julie Bell Lindsay moderated the CAQs annual panel at this year’s 2019 American Accounting Association (AAA) Annual Meeting. This discussion covered the procedures that audit firms have in place to provide reasonable assurance that its personnel comply with applicable professional standards and the firm’s own standards of audit quality. Panelists also addressed issues with respect to firm governance and leadership, working within a global network, as well as the IAASB’s recent exposure draft on international standards on quality management at the firm and engagement levels.
